In the final months of each year, as retailers deck their halls with Christmas decorations and savvy gift ideas, and we fill our calendars with holiday plans and endless opportunities for eating and celebrating…the church has a unique opportunity to be a voice among the chaos that reminds people of the true meaning of Christmas.

A gift by nature is freely given…unlike a prize or a reward which you must fight and compete for, a gift is completely underserved – it doesn’t require anything of us. It says nothing about the recipient, but everything about the heart of the giver.  All those years ago on that first Christmas Night we were given a great gift in Jesus…a free gift rich in hope and purpose. In 2 Corinthians 9:15…after talking about the joy and blessing that it is to give, Paul describes the overwhelming blessing of all that God has given us:  “Thank God for his Son – a gift too wonderful for words!”

At Nations Church, Christmas isn’t about receiving, but about giving and reaching. This season, join us in connecting people with the greatest gift of all…Jesus.
