Missions at Nations Church exists to extend the love and saving grace of Jesus outside the four walls of our church through ongoing initiatives to connect with and care for those in need.
Local Community Initiatives
Alta-1 delivers an alternative education program that offers support and training to young people who are at risk of not making a successful transition through secondary school. Alta-1 uses Nations Church facilities in our Belmont and Port Kennedy locations. We have ongoing interaction with Alta-1 staff and students throughout the year and supports the annual camp, both logistically and financially. See more
Nations Church is excited to be joining forces with Cahoots Connects to help those at risk and experiencing financial hardship.
Cahoots Connects is an essential shopping delivery service aimed to helping those living with a disability, experiencing mental health concerns, those over the age of 65, a carer for any of the above or those feeling unsafe or too anxious to complete their shopping.
Thanks to Cahoots Connects eligible people living in the Perth Metro area can now access hampers at home.
Nations Church is home to a community of chaplains serving our local schools. We partner with the chaplains to provide support, educational days and practical help within their schools.
Community gifts and hampers
Each Christmas, Nations Church provides hampers for families, offering support and encouragement to those connected to our many community programs.
Fitness For A Cause
Fitness For A Cause offers free fitness classes for community women three times per week. Additionally, they run occasional events and topical talks for women. All of these events involve a fundraising component where all profits support the various local missions initiatives of Nations Church.
Fruit and Vegetable Distribution
Every week Nations Church distributes fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and other necessities to those in need.
Heroes Academy provides free activity days for community children who live with additional needs. Programs are run by skilled Nations Church volunteers and seek to be a blessing to these families who face unique challenges. See more
High Schools Programs
Nations Youth run a number of personal development programs in partnership with local schools. These group mentoring programs aim to equip young people to discover their identity and articulate who they desire to become.
In addition, every week Nations Youth offers a free breakfast to students in several local secondary schools. The leaders offer encouragement, build relationships and provide a positive perspective to students of different ages.
Love Community Christmas Event
Nations Church runs this high-quality community event annually in the City of Melville. The event is free
to enter and features kids’ rides, entertainment, a carols production, food trucks and more. This event shares the love and joy of Christmas with thousands of people each year.
Nations Church partners with Red Frogs in supporting, serving and safeguarding young people through positive peer presence and practical help.
Reno For A Cause
Reno For A Cause utilises Nations Church volunteers and undertakes practical work projects (eg. landscaping, yard cleaning, painting) that support various not-for-profit organisations within the community.
Zonta House supports women who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing family and domestic violence, homelessness and other life crises. Nations Church and Fitness For A Cause have a long-standing relationship with Zonta House and have supported them in a variety of ways throughout the years.
Nations Church is working alongside Brave Ministries to alleviate the suffering of destitute people in Cambodia in practical ways that offer hope, love and courage. The goal is to see broken lives made whole and the fainthearted living brave lives full of hope and love that contributes to the transformation of others in need. Nations Church missions teams regularly spend time working alongside Brave Ministries workers.
Talitha Koumi (Bangladesh) is a faith-based organisation working extensively in community programs and the training and development of local leaders. More information can be given upon request.
Tiamoyo’s mission is to empower local leaders and farmers in communities in Tanzania in order to break poverty and extend God’s Kingdom through church planting and economic development. Nations Church conducts conferences with Tiamoyo for local pastors, church planters, community leaders and local farmers.
ACCI is the missions arm of Australian Christian Churches. Nations Church supports church planting and workers in developing nations through ACCI. In addition, some Nations Church overseas trips are done in partnership with ACCI.
Nations Church sponsors three Life Centres through our ongoing partnership with Transform Cambodia. These three centres are in some of the poorest districts in Phnom Penh, enrolling up to 300 children with 18 staff. Children are provided with education, leadership and life skills, health and welfare and creative arts opportunities.
